Progressive lenses provide distance, intermediate, and near vision through one lens without the visible line found in traditional bifocals. The best design depends on your prescription, frame, daily activities, and how frequently you wear your glasses.

Can Progressive Lenses Be Added to My Frames?

Progressive lenses can be installed in many new and existing frames, provided the frame has suitable dimensions, construction, and condition. Full-rim plastic and metal frames, many semi-rimless frames, and certain sunglass frames may be compatible.

Frame height is especially important because progressive lenses require enough vertical space for distance, intermediate, and near viewing zones. Damaged, unstable, unusually small, or extremely curved frames may require additional review.

If you purchased new frames online or from another store, send them with their temporary demonstration lenses still installed. RenewLens will check the frames before lens production.

How Progressive Lens Replacement Works

1. Choose your progressive lenses. Select the lens design, material, and available upgrades that fit your needs.
2. Provide your prescription. Upload your valid prescription during the order or submit it afterward.
3. Send your frames. Use your own secure box or request a free shipping kit and prepaid label.
4. Frame and prescription review. Your frames, prescription, and required measurements are checked before production.
5. Lens production and installation. Your new progressive lenses are prepared, fitted into your frames, inspected, and shipped back to you.

Progressive Lens Measurements and Frame Compatibility

Progressive lenses require accurate positioning so that each viewing zone aligns properly with your eyes and frames. Pupillary distance and other fitting information may be needed depending on your order, prescription, and frame.
